What is Deductive Reasoning

Introduction:
          Deductive reasoning is defined as the process of saying that something should be true because it is a special case of a general principle that is known to be true. Deductive reasoning is reasonably valid and it is the fundamental method in which mathematical facts are shown to be true. A deductive argument to be in view of the dispute is gratified not only to be valid, but the premises should be true as well.

Deductive Reasoning:

  • In logic, an argument is defined to be deductive if and only if its ending is a logical suggestion of the premises.
  • In deductive reasoning, we can define that the arguments may or may not be valid but we can never say that the arguments are true or false.
  • A deductive argument is an argument in which it is consideration that the premises provide a guarantee of the truth of the ending.
  • In an argument, the conclusion is depending on the premises. The ending will be valid when the premises are true.
  • Deductive reasoning in geometry is similar to the state described above, except it relates to geometric terms.
Example:
       An example of the deductive argument with a deductive reasoning, Statement:
                 All thoughts are actions
                 Some actions are not disasters
      The conclusion is derived by checking whether it is logically follows the given two statements.
